One of the oldest medieval churches in northwestern Bulgaria.
The local population has long forgotten even its name, today it is called the Abandoned Church. In 1965, the Abandoned Church was declared a monument of national importance. Meanwhile, this temple, at least five centuries old, has become a sheepfold. But it stubbornly stands upright – as if in spite of widespread indifference.
